Regattas
Competition is perhaps the best way to test yourself and learn more about sailing than just under cruising conditions. Regatta means to make quick and optimal decisions in rapidly changing circumstances. Taking part in a regatta will give you a new view of the complexed interplay between yacht and crew, whose fine tuning ultimately determines the performance of the team and therefore their place in the overall ranking.
Regatta sailing sharpens sailing skills and encourages team ability, as hardly any other sport does. In order to make taking part in a regatta, with one of our Charter yachts, a truly sporting experience for you, we bring the yacht from "cruise mode" to "regatta mode". First of all, we eliminate all the yachts rental attributes, such as gangway, biminitop, sprayhood and similar equipment, which represents unnecessary weight or simply hinders during Regatta sailing.
We take and collect all the equipment from the yacht which is not mandatory according to the regatta regulations, so that the yacht is optimally trimmed. Of course, we offer you downwind sails, gennaker or spinnaker, and try to configure the yacht according to your requirements with spinnaker booms, backstays tentioners, additional sheet sets and barberhaulers. Even underwater cleaning of the yacht can be organized on request.

Marmaris International Race Week – MIRW
Annually during the last week of October
One of the largest regattas in the Mediterranean and originally launched as a counterpart to the "Antigua Race Week". Launched for the first time in 1989, the MIRW now attracts sailors from all over the world. On average more than 150 yachts participate in this event. The competition is divided into eight yacht classes. These are formed from various Charter classes to professional Regatta classes. The MIRW takes place over 7 days, during which 5 races take place. They compromise of 2 offshore races along the coast off Marmaris and 3 Olympic triangle races in the Bay of Marmaris.
The evening program of the MIRW is also famous and notorious for its extensive parties. Here there is plenty of opportunity for the exchange of experiences and close contact with sailors from all continents. Rhodos Cup
Annually mid/end of July
The Rhodos Cup takes place over 5 Greek islands, which are located on the Turkish coast. The Cup starts on the island of Kos and goes via Nisyros, Tilos and Symi to Rhodes. The picturesque landscape of the Greek Dodecanese Islands is a special feature of this regatta which attracts sailors from all over the world.

Audi Gocek Race Week – AGRW
Annually mid-May
The extraordinary thing about the Audi Göcek Race Week is the set- up of this regatta, in which 50 to 70 yachts participate annually. The AGRW is suitable for all sailors, from professionals to amateur crews. The reason for this is, the first 3 days of the regatta consists of training, so that all crews have the time and the opportunity to familiarize themselves with their yacht, and then compete in 4 regattas in the picturesque Gulf of Fethiye and Göcek.
Sponsorship and patronage for this competition, as the name suggests, is
the famous car manufacturer Audi. Again, you can rent a yacht from GMM
Yachting directly. Our Service Crew at our Gocek base will ensure that
your yacht is always in perfect condition ready to sail at the front.
Autumn Gocek Race Week
Annually second week of November
Every year, between 50 and 70 yachts take part in this autumn regatta in Turkey. Usually, this regatta signals the end of the sailing season on the Turkish west coast. At this time of year on the Turkish coast only weak wind conditions prevail, which makes the Autumn Göcek Race Week the ideal regatta for all racing beginners and beginners in regatta sailing.
Rixos Sailing Cup
Annually second week of October
The regatta program is prepared by representatives of the well-known hotel chain together with the Turkish sailing association. During the preparations for the regatta assistance is also enlisted from the experienced sailors of the sailing club "Getek". Despite its relatively short history, the Rixos Sailing Cup has already won many loyal fans. The regatta takes place over 3 days and has probably the most exquisitely planned program in Turkey.
The evening events organized by the hotel chain Rixos are among the best on the whole of the Turkish coast.
